Delivery Information

What Does Delivery Cost?

We think our delivery costs are very fair - we don't believe in offering free delivery to some, but charging double rates to those who need items quickly, so all our delivery rates are priced evenly and as low as possible. Even, we provide delivery rates to you at below what it costs us from the carriers, to try and help out, so that everyone gets a fair deal.

Delivery costs vary depending on delivery method, location and order weight / size.

We use Royal Mail and DPD couriers as shipping options.

Shipping options are shown during checkout, or if you want to check a cost for a single item, just click the 'Shipping costs' tab on any product page, fill out your postcode (including the space) and click Get Rates to see the available shipping options. If you're signed in to your account, the address fields are pre-filled.

International Delivery

International Delivery was stopped in 2020. We will not send any items outside of the UK. It's just not practical in small volume in terms of extra administration required and delayed / lost parcels happened too often in the past, so it's not something we will offer again.

Excluded Categories

Shipping is not offered on some item categories including

- Complete PC systems
- Monitors
- Graphics cards
- Processors
- Motherboards
- All Storage Items (hard disks, SSDs etc)
- Power Supplies
- Memory
- Webcams
- Steering wheel stands / chairs
- Steering wheen and flight controls
- Headsets

If the only 'delivery' option is 'collect from store' or shows that no shipping methods are available for your location, it means we won't send that item out and it's for local sales only.

How long delivery take?

We ship orders on weekdays Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays (Bank Holidays, Christmas, New Year, Easter). For the majority of items, orders placed by 3pm are sent that day. Orders placed on holidays or Sat-Sun are despatched on the next working day.

Timescale varies by the delivery method and area, but indicative timescales are shown alongside the shipping options in checkout.

Consider as well that products showing as having a quantity in stock can be sent right away, but any items marked with an ordered on request timescale or built to order will affect the delivery time.

For instance, customers in the UK can use Royal Mail 2nd class for small, lower value items that are not needed in a hurry, and services such as Royal Mail Tracked 48 usually arrive in 2 days, and DPD courier shipment arrives next weekday. Saturday delivery options are available at extra cost.

How do you pack items?

With good care, and re-using material as much as possible. Anything with any fragility is wrapped up in card or a box, and surrounded by bubbles or bags.

We re-use as much incoming packaging as possible - so don't be alarmed if you order a fan and you get a Power Supply package, it's not us being silly, we're just using packaging that's spare from computer builds or incoming shipments, and it saves money and is better for the environment than throwing away and buying in new stuff. Sure, we could get branded packaging with our logo on it and it might look nice, but we don't want to waste your money on it - we would rather give you cheaper delivery!

What if I am local to the shop in Ayr, is local collection available?

To reserve items for collection from our shop, choose 'Collect in store' as the delivery method to purchase items to be immediately reserved for collection in our shop. We email you to confirm the items are sitting ready for you, generally during opening hours this is carried out in 10-30 minutes.
