This PC has just been built and has a mix of new parts and some trade-in items which still gives a very high-end PC but with a nicer price point and makes a great base to perhaps swap to a 50xx graphics card later in the year when all the initial excitement settles down.

This system has good performance components throughout, starting with a Z790 motherboard and i7-13700KF processor which packs 8 performance cores and 8 efficient cores for 16 cores total. The performance cores suit high-demand foreground tasks like games with clock speeds rising to 5.4Ghz, and the efficient cores can chip in for extra performance or handle background tasks at lower speeds. These processors are fast but make a bit of heat, so there's an excellent all-in-one liquid cooler with 360mm radiator from Corsair mounted to the top of the case.

It's worth a quick mention about the processor - we're well aware that AMDs Ryzen X3D processors are the current golden egg of processors, but the 13th Gen Intel chips were well regarded until AMD took the crown again in what's typically an ever-evolving race, and that was not too long ago. Most reviews focus on 1080p resolution to showcase the maximum potential difference in processors, but realistically this may matter to those playing on a 1080p 240Hz monitor, but on 1440p or 2160p (4K) monitors the processor performance plays less of a priority to the graphics card. In other words, at higher resolutions, whether your proceossor is top tier or 2nd-tier level, makes little difference in the real world.

Motherboard BIOS is updated to the latest microcode and confirmed the processor works reliably withj this.

Graphics in this system are handled by a Gigabyte RTX 3080 Ti 12GB graphics card in Vision White style, which makes for great performance on high refresh rate 1440p screens or good performance on 60Hz 2160p (4k) screens. This might be a good candidate to swap up with our trade-up scheme later should you be interested in something like a RTX 5070 Ti or 5080 card when those are available and pricing settles.

The system has a 32GB DDR5 RAM operating at 6000MT/s and for storage there's a good amount with fast NVME 2TB storage on PCI-E 4.0 bus. The motherboard has 5 x M.2 sockets allowing for additional storage expansion that way. There's room for a hard disks or SATA SSDs in the PC - we've just got the single 2TB storage fitted just now but if you wanted more storage added or storage moved over from an existing PC just let us know.

Casing is a new Lian Li O11D EVO in white with two glass panels, we've replaced the fans on the Corsair cooler with new white Antec fans (exhaust) and fitted to the case 6 reverse flow white Antec fans as intake (this means you see the 'nice' side of the fan while maintaining correct airflow direction).

The fans are ARGB addressable, we've set to white for display but you can have a different colour or RGB swirls if preferred. The cooler is fitted with the Corsair LCD pump cover which can provide stats on temperatures, system performance or loop your favourite meme. Corsair RAM is also addressable with lighting patterns or colours selectable in iCue software.

Wired and Wifi networking are included as standard.
